THE SEVEN RAYS
A ray is but a name for a particular type of energy. There are seven rays which the Solar Logos manifests through. There
are three major rays & four minor rays. The major rays are called the rays of aspect & the four minor rays are called the rays
are called the rays of attribute. The Hierarchy & the Masters are divided into seven divisions or ashrams based on the rays.
Humans have their three attributes (personality, soul & Monad)each based on one of the rays. In different lifetimes,
different rays are experienced in an unevolved being, the soul & monad rays might never be experienced. Each of the
seven rays expresses itselfthrough a medium of three constellations which are a triangle of energies. Each one of the
rays is a recipient & custodian of energies from seven solar systems & twelve constellations. Each ray passes these energies
through its body of manifestation (a planet) & thereby imparts them to the planetary form & to all forms upon & within it.
This blend of energies wotking on substance, producesthe forms & each subjective form in turn produces the outer appearence.
The seven sacred planets in order of their number are Vulcan, Jupitor, Saturn, Mercury ,Venus, Neptune & Uranus.
Each of a Humans seven main chakra's comes under the influence of one of the rays. The crown chakra is the agent for 1st
ray energy, the energy of will or power, the heart chakra is the centre for the 2nd ray energy of Love-Wisdom
Whilst the throat centre is the centre for the 3rd ray energy of Active Intelligence.This ray energy arrives at the throat
centre via the crown & heart centres. The seven ray energy comes through the sacral centre of every being.
The 1st ray is called the ray of will. It is the ray of the father or Shiva. The centre for
the expression of this ray on earth is Shamballa. Shamball exists in etheric matter & can not be seen with normal vision.
Special virtues of this ray: strenght, courage, steadfastness, truthfulness arising from absolute fearlessness, power of
ruling, capacity to grasp great questions in a large minded way & handling of men & measures.
Vices of this ray: pride, ambition, wilfulness, hardness, arrogance, desire to control others, obstinacy & anger
Virtues to be acquired: tenderness, humiliity, sympathy, tolerance, patience
The 2nd ray is the ray of Love-Wisdom. It is the ray of Vishnu.
Specail virtues: calm, strength, patience & endurance, love of truth, faithfulness, intuition, clear intelligence & serene temper
Vices of the ray: over absorption in study, coldness, indifference to others, contempt of mental limitations in others
Virtues to be acquired: love, compassion, unselfishness & energy .
The 3rd ray is called the ray of active intelligence-Lord Brahma - Mother - Holy Ghost - matter
Special virtues: wide view on all abstract questions, sincerity of purpose, clear intellect, capacity for concentration on Philosophic
studies, patience, caution, absense of the tendency to worry himself or others over trifles
Vices of the ray: intellectual pride, coldness, inaccuracy in details, isolation, absentmindedness, obstinacy, selfishness & overmuch
criticism of others.
Virtues to be acquired: sympathy, tolerance, devotion, accuracy, energy & commonsense.
RAYS OF ATTRIBUTE
4th ray of harmony, beauty & art
Special Virtues: strong affections, sympathy,
Vices of the ray: inaccuracy, lack of moral courage, strong passions, indolence, extragance
Virtues to be acquired: serenity, confidense, self-control, purity, unselfishness, accuray, mental & moral balance
5th ray of concrete knowledge or science
Specail virtues: devotion, single mindedness, love, tenderness, intuition, lovyalty, reverence
vices of the ray: selfishness, jealous of love, over-leaning on others, partiality, self deception, sectarianism, superstition,
predjudice, over rapid conclusions, firey temper
Virtues to be acquired: strength, self sacrifice, purity, truth, tolerence, serenity, balance & commonsense
6th ray of abstract idealism & devotion
Special Virtues: devotion, single mindedness, love, tenderness, intuition, loyality, reverence
Vices of the ray: Sselfishness, jealous love, over leaning on others, partiality, self deception, sectarianism, superstition,
predjudice, over rapid conclusions,fiery temper
Virtues to be acquired: strength, self sacrifice,purity, truth, tolerance, serentity, balance & common sense
7th ray of ceremonial law or magic
Special virtues: strength, perserverence, courage, courtesy, extreme care in details, self reliance
Vices of the ray: formalism, bigotry, pride, narrowness, superfical judgements, self opinioned, over indulged
Virtues to be acquired: realism of unity, wide mindedness, tolerance, humility, gentleness & love
The prime purpose of the 7th ray is to perform the magical work of blending spirit & matter in order to produce the
manifested form through which life will reveal the glory of God.
