Level 4 Initiation is called the great renunciation. It is governed by the 4th ray - the ray of harmony through conflict. At this point the thre gold petals of the inner bud have opened. The 7th spirillae of the physical, astral permanent atoms are fully vitalized & absorbs the entire life force of the physical body. The internal heat of the atom & the external heat of the egoic body wherein it has its place, produces that which destroys the lower permanent atoms. The antahkarana is complete & there is a direct line of energy from the Spiritual Triad to the mind or brain. Consciousness is then focussed on the buddhic plane. The lower three centres reach a point of purification (emptiness) & become recepticles for the energies of the three higher centres. At this initiation a clairvoyant will see a triangle with an eye within, regarding him & for the first time see the most high, eye to eye. The initiate has nothing in him which relates to the three worlds of human evolution. His contact with those worlds becomes purely voluntary for the purpose of service. He becomes a member of the 5th kingdom of nature, the kingdom of God, called by us the Hierarchy. The mind nature loses its control & is hence forth only useful in service. TThe intuition, the 4th level of awareness or spiritual sensitivity takes its place, expressing, it self as wisdom in all affairs. A person reaching this level is an Arhat.
