LEVEL 3 initiation is called the transfiguration. It is defined as freedom from the personality. It is called the first major initiation & it is the climaxing point & inaugurates a new cycle leading to the 7th initiation. The 7th spirillae of the permanent atoms is now active & the inner three petals of the Egoic lotus are opened. Then the 5th ray of concrete science & the law of Synthesis govern this initiation. It allows the mind to be used as the major instrument in the further work to be done. At this point the antahkarana is built, allowing the kundalini to rise from the base of the spine to the Ajna chakra. The respoitory of the will aspect of man's inate divinity is located at the spine & only functions correctly after this initiation.
From The Rays & the Initations -page 689 the Rays and the Initiations- it is stated: After the 3rd initiation the effects of the initiation which he or she may undergoing are confined to simply the individual initate, but henceforth & at all later initiations he becomes a transmitter of energy which will pour through him with increasing potency at each application of the Rod. He acts primarily as an agent for the trans mission for the stepping down & for the consquent safe distribution od energies to the masses. “The work done prior to & at the 3rd initiation is purely prepatory to this type of service required from an &ienergy transmitter&i. At this initiation the disciple begins consciously & creatively to direct the energies made available to him, doing via the Ajna centre & directed towards humanity as a whole. These energies are: the energy of his own soul(a solar angel, agnishvatta), the energy of the ashram to which he belongs, the energy of the Hierarchy itself & the peculiar energy which is transmitted to his Ajna by Sanat Kumara at the time of his initiation. It comes from shamballa & is uniquely the energy the energy of the Planetary logos himself.
So clarify & remove some of the filler. The Kundalini rises some time before the lev.3 initiation The iniate becomes a stepdown transmitter for energies from the Hierarchy, but not as described. The choice is not the initates. It happened way more than 100 times to groups (totaling about 60 different people) doing the Twin Hearts meditation, every time infact. A few people would immediately go to sleep but would wakeup refreshed. It also happened a couple of times to individuals sitting with the initiate & that energy was always from Lord Christ. Possibly one of his lower initiations.Three very small basic Pranic healing classes received his energy while doing the Twin Hearts at the end of the class. Any person sitting in that energy never wants it to end. He spoke to me at the first event. I just told the students they were receiving a blessing. But one of the students turned out to be clairvoyant & audient & he told her to give messages to the other two students in the class & she told them who & what. The Friday night Twin Hearts were open to the general public & a number of them had no spiritual background but came with friends & loved the energies.
The step down transmitter is more closely to the rising of the Kundalini than the initiation. I knew of neither when the two events when they happened to me. I received the initiation at least 6 monthes after the stepdown transmitter started & I was shown Monadic Healing at about the same time. Those are the two major take aways from the experiences that are important.
